For more than five decades, The Dance Academy has been a place where passion meets purpose, and dancers of all ages discover their love for movement. Originally founded in 1973 by Mrs. Sandra Butcher in Griffin, Georgia, the studio quickly grew—opening additional locations in Riverdale, Fayetteville, and Stockbridge—before finding its forever home in McDonough.

 

In 2022, leadership was joyfully passed to her daughter, Keri Butcher Bell, who continues the legacy as Owner and Company Director. Under Keri’s guidance, The Dance Academy, LLC (TDA) honors its rich history while embracing a fresh, modern approach to dance education.

 

At TDA, we believe dance has the power to shape confident, creative, and disciplined individuals. Our classes are designed to nurture both technique and artistry—teaching posture, rhythm, flexibility, musicality, and teamwork in every step. Students not only gain a strong foundation in dance but also build lifelong skills in confidence, focus, and expression.
